I’ve been neglecting this blog. Yeah, I posted last Saturday, but when is the last time I did a Spread Love Sunday? I honestly don’t remember. 

When I started this blog, I dove in head first. I made sure to post every week. Any free moment I had was consumed by thinking about the blog. Whether it was ideas for posts, or how to get more readers. Unfortunately, I think that dedication may have done me more harm than good. 

Don’t get me wrong. I love this blog, and am happy that I started it. But, I neglected my other interests and hobbies because I’ve been focused on the blog. I used to read for pleasure/leisure all the time, but I haven’t finished a book since I posted my first blog entry. About a month before I started the blog, I was learning how to crochet. I was excited to make a beautiful, yet imperfect blanket. There’s still no blanket, and not a whole lot of added swatches, either. Fundraising for the AFSP and writing short stories have taken a backseat as well. 

Also, I’m a little disappointed in my content. Not the subjects or the topics, but my depth. Maybe it’s my flaw as a writer that I’m not doing enough research, or maybe I’m just hurrying to put something out. 

This blog will continue, but it will evolve. It’s still a blog about putting a little love into the world. I’m still going to write about different charities and organizations. And there will still be Spread Love Sundays. But now, I want to focus more on the quality of the content, and not just getting posts up. So, it might take a little more time between posts, but I’m hoping the content will be so much better. 

My amazing, supportive hubbins has also suggested that I share some of my creative writing on the blog. I’m still debating on that, but it could be a good filler between the other entries. I’m hesitant because I’m not always so confident in my writing, and because not everything I write is happy and “Spreading Love.” There are some things I write that can get pretty dark. 

That part can be decided at another time. For now, I want to balance. My blog and my other interests. I don’t want to be fully consumed by this blog, but I want to put out quality content as well. 

Please be patient with me as I gain my footing, so to speak. I believe in this blog, and I hope you do, too.
