Good Buy For Good Part Two

A couple months ago, I posted my first Good Buy, For Good entry and turned it into a contest. The bad news is that I only received three responses to the contest, one of them from my hubbins. The good news is that  I decided that everyone who entered wins a pin. (My husband has to share mine.)

These were the responses to the question What products or companies do you use that give to charity when you purchase?

From Casey:  Noonday

From Noelle:  Thirty One has an option to round up your purchase amount which is then given to charity organizations that support women, children and families. March through May was supporting children’s mental health research. It changes quarterly. Also, my Thirty One lady Erica does her own charitable initiatives where purchases go toward different charities or causes. The most recent one supported purchases of mini zipper pouches which were filled with sanitary items and given to the middle school here in town for when girls may visit the nurse because their periods came unexpectedly. These little gifts help them feel better about the transition they are experiencing and give them what they need in a discreet manner. She’s also done drives for gift bags for kids at a local burn camp, and many other different campaigns to supporting local charities and foundations.

From John:  Not sure, whatever my wife buys.

I looked up some companies that I thought donated to different charities. Here is what I found:

Dairy Queen. Every year, participating DQ locations have Miracle Treat Day. $1.00 from every Blizzard sold on that day go to local Children's Miracle Network Hospitals. You can also donate by purchasing a Miracle Balloon at the register. This year, Miracle Treat Day is Thursday, July 25th.

Lokai. Lokai donates a portion of profits from certain items to various charities. Some of the charities that Lokai support are:
Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation
Alzheimer's Association
Breast Cancer Research Foundation
Humane Society of the United States
National Alliance on Mental Illness
National Pediatric Cancer Foundation
Make A Wish Foundation
Autism Speaks
The Nature Conservancy

The LGBT+ Center Orlando
Planned Parenthood
Voices for Vaccines

American Cancer Society
Shriners Hospital for Children

Of course there are so many more companies that donate to other organizations and charities; this is just a few. I may post about more in the future.

In the meantime, get your Blizzards on Thursday at a participating DQ location. Treats for a good cause!
